Hey there, Shticks Fam! 👋

Our house is empty, and our girls have been off to college 😢. As I was reminiscing and going through my old cartoons, I found some classics that brought back great memories. Since they feature my family, I thought I’d share a bit more about us—and I’d love to hear about yours, too!

I’ll be sharing these cartoons as I find them—so don’t expect them to be in any particular order! It’s a bit like finding old photos in a shoebox; sometimes the memories pop up randomly, but they always bring a smile :)

My husband is notorious for scribbling notes on literally anything—mail, newspapers, and (hide your notebooks!) even my notes! And when he’s in the zone, forget about being seen or heard! 😂

Do you ever have one of those moments when someone is so focused on something that it feels like you’re invisible? Or maybe you’re the one who gets hyper-focused, tuning out the world as you dive into a task (or whatever hypnotizes you)? Or maybe you know someone who does? 🌀😵‍💫

The generational gap between getting tech news from cutting-edge sources vs. meme pages is real!

Back then, in my private cartoons, I sometimes drew myself with a cape because I thought I was Super Mom. In the second panel of this cartoon, I drew the cape on hubby because he ended up being the super parent!

This moment reminded me that sometimes it's dad who really soars. Do you ever have moments where you’re sure something won’t work, only to be happily proven wrong? Let me know if your partner or someone close ever ended up being the 'superhero' in a situation like this!

This cartoon brings back memories of when Claire, the social butterfly, was excited about starting public school, while Paige was a bit more hesitant.

Are you someone who's always eager to dive into something new, while others around you might take a little more time to warm up? How do you usually approach change?

Paige might be ‘too tired’ for a trip to the store, but when it comes to animals, all bets are off! Whether it’s a black cat, a puppy, or even a bird—her energy seems to instantly recharge when she spots something cute. 😂

Do you or someone you know have an irresistible draw to furry or feathered friends? What gets your energy flowing when you think you’re too tired for anything?
